How we ranked these

We started from the earlier Top 10 Executive Sedans list and kept every model we could source: the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Genesis G80, BMW 5 Series, Lexus ES, Audi A6 and Cadillac CT5. Acura's own page says the TLX is no longer available, and we could not confirm a current U.S. maker page or price for the Volvo S90, Infiniti Q50 or Maserati Ghibli, so those four were replaced with the Audi A6 Sportback e-tron, Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan, Alfa Romeo Giulia and Genesis G70. Ranking is our editorial judgment, with kept models in their earlier order and added models after them. Prices are each maker's starting MSRP; every pick names the model year where the maker's page does, and the E-Class page names none. We did not compare reliability or crash-test scores except where the maker's page cites an award. The wider luxury class, including the S-Class and 7 Series, is on /cars/best-luxury-sedans-2027/. Facts are taken from each maker's own published information; check the official site before you buy.
