Direct answer

The best hybrid pickup is the 2026 Ford Maverick Hybrid XL, which is also the best value: it starts at $28,145, EPA rates it 38 mpg combined, and Ford lists up to 4,000 lbs of towing. For heavy towing, the Ford F-150 PowerBoost has up to an 11,600 lbs tow rating. Only four pickups offer a hybrid (Maverick, F-150, Tacoma, Tundra), so this list ranks 10 trims. Maker pages still show 2026 prices.

How we ranked these

Only four pickup models offer a hybrid for the US 2026 model year on the maker pages we checked: the Ford Maverick, Ford F-150, Toyota Tacoma and Toyota Tundra, so we ranked 10 trims rather than 10 models. We ranked by EPA combined fuel economy from fueleconomy.gov, then the maker's published tow rating, then the maker's published starting MSRP, keeping each model's trims in price order. Prices are 2026 model-year MSRPs from Ford.com and Toyota.com when we checked; a 2027 price or EPA entry for these trucks could not be confirmed, and prices change often. F-150 prices are for the standard engine because Ford lists the hybrid as an available option without a price we could confirm. The Tacoma tow rating comes from a Toyota dealer's spec page, not Toyota's own page. The Ram 1500 Ramcharger (now called the Ram 1500 REV) is not on sale: TruckDaily reported on September 6, 2026 a mid-April 2027 arrival, with MSRP still not published. Crash-test ratings and owner-reported mpg were not compared. Facts are taken from each maker's own published information; check the official site before you buy.
