How we ranked these
We ranked each game on its Metacritic Metascore for the Xbox Series X version, the critics' consensus score. A tie (Grounded and Gears 5, both 83) goes to the game with more critic reviews listed on Metacritic. Each pick lists co-op on its Xbox Store page; we left out games whose Xbox Store page does not list co-op, and games with no Xbox Series X Metascore on Metacritic. Prices are US list prices on the Xbox Store (not sale prices), checked in October 2026, and may differ by edition and change over time. Facts are taken from each maker's own published information; check the official site before you buy.
